Mainstage: The Epitome of Theatrical Excellence

The Mainstage production represents the pinnacle of NU Stage’s endeavors, featuring fully staged published musicals performed in Blackman Auditorium. With a fusion of singing, acting, choreography, and a live pit orchestra, these shows boast full-scale technical aspects including lights, sound, and set design. This spring, NU Stage will grace the stage with “Pippin” for its Mainstage performance.

Concert: A Melodic Showcase

The Concert, held in the Curry Ballroom, is a published musical with a primary focus on musicality. With minimal choreography and a live pit orchestra, this production highlights the power of music. NU Stage will be presenting “Tuck Everlasting” for the spring Concert for viewers to enjoy.

Revue: A Musical Journey

The Revue showcases a curated collection of musical theater songs, united by a theme chosen by the production staff. This dynamic show incorporates singing, acting, and choreography, accompanied by a live pit orchestra and full-scale technical aspects. This spring’s Revue theme, “The Ones You Don’t Remember,” promises to impress all music lovers.

Bridging the Divide: Skills Shared Between NU Stage and Husky Ambassadors

Beyond the stage, NU Stage and Husky Ambassadors share a common ground in fostering invaluable skills. From public speaking to self-expression and memorization, participation in these organizations equips students with tools essential for navigating the challenges of the world beyond college.

Recent Northeastern graduate and NU Stage alumni Christina Lau (COS ‘23) has found the skills she learned through Husky Ambassadors and on the stage to be applicable in navigating life after college. Christina reflected on this:

“Gotta say getting comfortable speaking in front of groups is the biggest one. HA taught me how to make a meaningful connection with all different kinds of people really quickly, then I got to really apply that as a pit director. I think that’s just a really useful life skill especially in interviewing for jobs and making the post grad transition!” – Christina Lau (COS ‘23).
